Every day, another snapshot.

Hi, my name is Abby and this journal is a record of the Abby Days art project I am currently working on. The idea is to have up to a thousand photographs taken in as many days, giving an overall snapshot of almost three years in a person's life. A few years in a lifetime is merely a still image of existence, as a photograph is to a single day.

You are invited to take part in the project by commenting and even submitting requests along the way. Hopefully in time this will become quite a diverse snapshot.

An ongoing historical account of the project:

03/10/2008 - Day One of original set.
14/02/2009 - Day One Hundred and Thirty Five of original set. Last day recorded before the file loss.
08/03/2009 - Lost all of the original set of photos with approximately 3 weeks gone forever, but previous uploads were later salvaged. Due to this computer error the project would either have a 3 week gap or an entirely new set would need to be started.
09/06/2009 - Day One of second set. Decided to start again after a couple of months off from daily snapshots.
21/06/2009 - Discovered that my CF card became corrupted, jilting the progress of the second series.

DELL Inspiron Integrated WebCam

The only photoshopping I do on any photo is a simple black & white conversion (saturation and levels adjustment) and an image resize for posting. Everything else is done at the camera stage!

My personal journal is abatage, but that's not for everyone.
